About Julie Robitaille

Julie Warmke-Robitaille has been painting since 1990 and studying with a variety of painters in the various media she loves: oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels. She takes her inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, hoping to capture some part of the splendor and complexity of the world in her art. Her favorite subjects are the Nova Scotia coastline, Black Duck Cove, and Little Dover Harbor. She’s exhibited in a variety of venues and galleries, and her works are in collections across the United States, Nova Scotia, and Europe.

Julie was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and lived and taught college English in Gainesville, Florida, before finding her dream home in Little Dover in 2014. In addition to painting, she’s written textbooks, short stories, novels, and screenplays. She’s currently at work on the seventh novel in a female detective series, and on a series she hopes will inspire young people to take up the battle to save the earth.
