Lois Ann Dort is a journalist by profession and enjoys getting out in nature where she has developed a passion for photography.

Lois Ann’s photography focuses on the often-overlooked beauty of the everyday – particularly things we see in nature. Her work often focuses, literally, on the smaller components of big picture scenery. Photography is a form of meditation on her environment, a closing in on a more rewarding and thoughtful interaction with the place she calls home.

She’s commonly found on Dorts Cove beach or the Trans Canada Trail, phone in hand, looking for the perfect light and angle.
