Pat Steger

A couple of years ago she was introduced to Polymer Clay and was hooked. Polymer Clay is probably one of the most versatile mediums to work with. In its raw state it can be painted, dyed, embossed, stamped, molded, blended together, stenciled, silk screen and much more. After baking it can be painted, sanded, drilled, glued, re-baked numerous times and much much more. She is contantly trying new ways to work her clay into beautiful wearable items and has produced many one of a kind creations, along with a line of sea theme items.

She joined AWE in 2020 to futher expand her creativity.

Introducing Pat Steger of Canso Nova Scotia. -Polymer Clay and Lapidary Artist.

Pat has always wanted to create but it took her a long time to find her niche. Before she retired in 2007 she ran a large goat farm in Bethany, Ontario with her husband Bernie. She also made goat milk soaps and candles, which she sold at farmers markets and wholesale accouts. In 2007 they sold their farm and their possessions and hit the road in their 5th Wheels and travelled all over North and Central America. It soon became apparent to Pat that she needed to “do something” with her spare time. She tried her hand at many crafts until she soon realized she was drawn to rocks. In 2016 Pat and her husband Bernie decided they needed some roots again and purchased a lovely home in Canso, Nova Scotia and retired the 5th Wheel. Winters are spent in deep south Texas wheres he teaches Polymer Clay at the RV Resort they stay in. Her love of everything rocks soon led her to join the Lapidary Club in their RV park in Texas, were she became a shop supervisor. She currently has her own saws and grinding/polishing machines setup in her home in Canso.
